We Can’t Keep Quite: The Company Is Collapsing; Workers Cry Out To Government In a Wild Statement Issued

The Railway Workers Union has asked the government to save the Ghana Railway Company as soon as possible, according to a report seen in a document.
The workers say that the company is about to go out of business.
In a statement signed by the Union’s General Secretary, Godwill Ntarmah, the Union said that the company can’t buy fuel right now to run its manganese freight and passenger trains.
The Ghana Railway Company has a lot of debt, such as unpaid salaries, SSNIT payments, and credit union payments.
So, the Ghana Railway Workers Union is asking President Akufo-Addo to “save the company from total collapse” by releasing the money from scrap metal auctions right away and stepping in to help.
