The ideal test is yet to begin as WAEC has been brought to the mud regarding their examination body.
The CEO of EAI has urged the Education Ministry to bring in another examination body in order to compete with WAEC.
After the West African Examination Council (WAEC) released a statement regarding the release of the 2022 Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE) results revealing the cancellation and withholding of some candidates’ results and the cancellation of the entire results of about 75 students from both public and private schools, Mr. William Boadi, the Chief Executive Officer of Educate Africa Institute (EAI), an education policy think tank, has urged for another examination body to compete with WAEC.
He said there is a need for the authorities in the education sector to bring another examination body that will conduct these external exams to strike out the differences between their work and that of WAEC to pick the best one to lead examinations in Ghana because WAEC has been consistent in preventing some of the results of WAEC-organized examinations from being released in the past few years due to investigations.
