Reliance Jio recently launched its first OBD device for cars, the JioMotive (2023), which transforms any car into a smart vehicle in minutes. It offers a variety of features to improve vehicle security and enhance the overall driving experience. JioMotive provides information about your car’s location, engine health, and driving habits, making it especially helpful for people with older or basic new cars.

Reliance Jio’s JioMotive device is currently available on Reliance Digital for 60.03 USD, a substantial discount of nearly 58 per cent off its retail price of 144.10 USD. The services it offers are subscription-based, with the first year being complimentary.

After the initial year, users can access all features for an annual fee of 7.19 USD Notably, the device only works with a Jio SIM card.

Additionally, the new car tracker device is currently listed on the Reliance Digital website with an additional 10 per cent discount. The offer is live for a limited time, and users also get a one-year warranty on the product.

JioMotive features

The JioMotive is a plug-and-play device that transforms any car into a smart vehicle. It seamlessly fits into the On-board Diagnostics (OBD) port of your car, typically located beneath the steering wheel.

Through its real-time 4G GPS vehicle tracking, you gain instantaneous insights into your vehicle’s location.

The JioMotive device is equipped with an e-SIM, which ensures connectivity to your existing data plan, eliminating the need for a separate SIM card purchase.

In addition to real-time vehicle tracking, the JioMotive device also offers geofencing and time fencing capabilities. Geofencing allows users to set virtual boundaries on a map and receive alerts if their vehicle enters or leaves those areas.

Time fencing alerts users when their vehicle starts moving. These features provide users with peace of mind and help them to keep track of their vehicle’s location and movement.

In addition to the features mentioned above, the JioMotive device also offers a number of intelligent features, including Health Status Monitoring, Driving Performance Analysis, anti-theft, and accident detection.

Health Status Monitoring provides valuable details about your vehicle’s health, such as battery percentage and engine load. It also issues Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC) alerts if it detects any problems.
