The police spokesperson, SP Okasanmi Ajayi, confirmed the incident and assured the public that a full investigation was ongoing to ascertain the cause of the lady’s death.

The unfortunate incident comes as a timely reminder on the importance of safety measures when seeking intimacy with a partner.

Sexual activity can carry risks such as sexually transmitted infections (STIs), unwanted pregnancy, coercion and in rare instances, death.

It is therefore necessary for partners to practice measures that guarantee their safety and that of their partner.
