2021 BECE scripts marking underway
The marking of 2021 BECE for School scripts of candidates who sat for the 31st and 2021 edition of the national examination has commenced, A staff of the West African Examinations Council has told EducationWeb.com.gh.
He Monday said the Management of the non-profit-making organization (WAEC) usually three weeks after the conduct of the last paper of the Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE) commences the marking of the scripts.
Asked when the results of this year’s BECE will be released, the WAEC official said the duration of the marking process and when to expect the release of the results will be determined by RPCC after prelim coordination meetings.
A total of 571,894 candidates from 18,028 Junior High Schools on November 16, 2021, started the 2021 BECE with Social Studies Paper 2&1. Out of the total number of registered candidates, 287,605 were boys and 284,289 were girls.

About 2,158 supervisors, 20,124 invigilators, and 1,853 Assistant supervisors were contracted by WAEC to oversee the administration of the 2021 edition of the Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE) for School Candidates.
The administration of the 2021 edition of the national examination for final year Junior High School students which took place at 2,158 examination centres across the country ended successfully on Friday, November 19, 2021.
According to a regional breakdown of the BECE, Ashanti Region presented the majority of candidates who sat for the examination followed by Greater Accra Region and Upper West with the least number of final year students.

1. Visit the WAEC result checking portal https://eresults.waecgh.org
2. Enter your Index number (E.g 1000000001)
3. Confirm your Index number
4. Select examination type ( BECE School)
5. Select examination year (E.g 2021)
6. Enter your Serail number (E.g 180000000001).
7. Enter your Pin (A1B2C3D4E5F9)
8. Click on submit and wait a while for a window to display your result. This will take some time but it’s worth the wait.
Candidates and the general public who may encounter problems during the result checking process, the West African Examinations Council has said can send an email to https://helpdesk.waecgh.org/ for immediate support.
