2021 National Minimum Wage Determination To Commence April 22
The Ministry of Employment and Labour Relations (MELR) has called on all relevant stakeholders for a meeting to determine the 2021 national minimum wage.
The meeting is scheduled for Thursday, 22nd April 2021. According to (MELR), the meeting is to help commence negotiations on the determination of the National Minimum Wage.
The meeting is expected to be held at the MELR conference room at 10:00 am
This was communicated in a letter from the Ministry of Employment and Labour Relations (MELR dated 15th April 2021 and signed by Hon. Ignatius Baffour Awuah.

The government had earlier own in the year communicated that there was not going to be an upward adjustment in the minimum wage of public sector workers until 2023. This led to public uproar and stakeholder displeasure.
