2022 WASSCE scheduled for August/Sept

Latest Ghana Education News: 2022 WASSCE scheduled for August/Sept

The Ghana Education Service has hinted that the 2022 WASSCE for school candidates will be held in August/September 2022. Prior to this year, the last two WASSCE examinations held for school candidates in 2020 and 2022 were organized by WAEC in November of each year as a result of the covid-19 pandemic.

The August/ September 2022 date announced by GES means students who will be in SHS3 when school reopens on 7th February will have just 6 months to prepare for the Senior High School leaving examination administered by the West African Examination Council.

The 2021 results released by WAEC showed an improvement in the performance of candidates while the 2020 edition saw Ghana sweeping most of the awards and beating their Nigerian counterparts.

The release of the 2022 WASSCE date for school candidates also means teachers must hit the ground running from February since time will not be on their side in preparing the candidates for the examination.
