2023 BEEC: Likely Compiled Mathematics Questions
The 2023 BECE is scheduled to begin in August 2023. Below are some well-analyzed and compiled questions for Mathematics. Candidates are urged to try their hands on these compiled questions.
These compiled questions from some of the most repeated topics and they are probable to drop. We urge candidates to master all the confirmed topics very well.
Candidates are advised to be time conscious especially when it comes to Mathematics and also not to deviate and know their formulas very well.
MATHEMATICS QUESTIONS
1. a. Given that x= (whole numbers from 4 to 13) and y= multiples of 3 between 2 and 20), find X n Y
b. Find the Least Common Multiple (LCM) and Highest Common Factor (HCF) of the following numbers: 3. 5 and 9.
c. If p+2q/p = 7/5, find the value of q/p, where p is not 0
2. a. In an examination, 60 candidates passed Integrated Science or Mathematics. If 15 passed both subjects and 9 more passed Mathematics than Integrated Science, find the:
i. number of candidates who passed each subject
ii. number of candidates who failed both subjects
iii. probability that a candidate passed exactly one subject
b. Factorize the expression: xy+6x+3y+18
3. a. Solve: 4x+5/5 + x-3/4 = -1
b. The ratio of boys to girls in a school is 12:25. If there are 120 boys,
i. how many girls are in the school?
ii. what is the total number of boys and girls in the school?
c. Simplify the expression: (8x^2y^3)(3/8 xy^4)
d. Express 250% as a fraction in its lower term.
These are the compiled questions so far, we urge all candidates (2023 BECE) to try their hands on these questions. Candidates are urged to seek help if they encounter any difficulties.
