2025 Barau I Jibrin Foundation Domestic Postgraduate Scholarship for Nigerian Students Only

THE DOMESTIC POSTGRADUATE SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAMME, 2025/2026 SESSION, IS NOW OPEN.

The application is now open for the Domestic Postgraduate Scholarship Programme for the 2025/2026 academic session. The scholarships will be awarded by Barau I Jibrin under the Barau I Jibrin Foundation.

This initiative underscores our commitment to fostering academic excellence and empowering deserving graduates of Kano State to achieve their educational and professional aspirations. Building on the success of sponsoring 70 students for master’s degree programs abroad, the Foundation will now support 300 outstanding graduates to pursue their postgraduate studies in renowned universities across Nigeria.

Selected Universities:

The scholarship will be awarded to students at six universities. These are as follows.

Bayero University, Kano
Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria
University of Ibadan
University of Nigeria, Nsukka
Obafemi Awolowo University
Ile-Ife, University of Lagos

PROGRAMME DETAILS:

The scholarships will focus on 14 programme areas. These are listed below.
1. M.Sc. Artificial Intelligence
2. M.Sc. Robotics Technology
3. M.Sc. Cyber Security
4. M.Sc. Data Science FM

5. M.Sc. Information Technology
6. M.Sc. Software Development
7. M.Sc. Mineral Exploration
8. M.Sc. Hydrogeology & Environmental Geology
9. M.Sc. Oil and Gas Operations

10. M.Sc. Applied Geophysics
11. M.Sc. Metallurgical and Material Engineering
12. M.Sc. Climate Change Management
13. M.Eng. Mechatronic
14. M.Eng. Intelligence System

Eligibility Criteria:

To qualify, applicants must:
✔️ Be under 35 years old
✔️ Hold a first degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related disciplines with a CGPA of 3.5 or above (on a 5.0 scale)
✔️ Possess five O’Level credits, including English and Mathematics.

Application Process for the Domestic Postgraduate Scholarship

Interested applicants are required to submit their applications and supporting documents to [email protected] no later than 30th January, 2025.

✅ Academic Certificates (Primary, Secondary, Bachelor’s Degree)
✅ NYSC Discharge Certificate or Exemption Letter
✅ LGA and State Indigene Certificates
✅ Official Transcript
✅ Letter of Motivation
