‘You’ll all be put to shame one after the other’ – Akufo-Addo tells critics

President Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo has been very harsh on those who say he hasn’t done anything to help the Ashanti Region develop.

President Akufo-Addo told the chief and people of Suame in Kumasi that those who didn’t agree with him would soon be put in their place. He was there to officially start building a 4-tier interchange.

“Those in Kumasi who have been saying bad things about me will be put in their place one by one today, tomorrow, and the day after that,” he said.

Akufo-Addo was angry and said that people who say he hasn’t done enough for the NPP stronghold would look bad as more projects are started in the area.

On Monday, October 17, 2022, some angry people threw rocks at the President’s car while he was on his way to check on the progress of work on phase 2 of the Kejetia redevelopment project. This was part of his 4-day tour of the Ashanti Region.

President Akufo-Addo said that since 2017, 295 kilometers of new roads have been built in the Ashanti region as part of his government’s plan to improve road infrastructure all over the country.

“In addition to this project, my government is working on important road projects in all parts of the country as a whole, so that all parts of the country will have good roads that can be used in any weather.

“Since I took office in 2017, my government has put asphalt on 295 km of roads,” he bragged.

He named Oforikrom, the Kumasi Metropolitan Area, Bantama, Subin, and Asante Mampong as some of the areas that would benefit.
