Ghana Oil Company, known as GOIL, the state-owned Ghanaian oil and gas marketing company of Ghana has announced reduced fuel prices at the pumps.
According to Goil, the new prices take effect from 15th November 2022
The petroleum marketing company announced the news prices via its blog post on Twitter monitored by your authentic news source Ghanaeducation.org.
Effective 15th November at 6 AM, Goil started selling a litre of SUPER XP RON95 – GHC 16.82 (Petrol) and DIESEL XP – GHC 20.50.
So what will happen to the transport fares? Will the various drivers’ unions respond to the reduction? The various unions and transport operating companies are yet to react in terms of fare reductions. Discussions monitored on Social Media suggest that drivers are not likely to reduce the current lorry fares which went up by 44% within 72 hours after fuel prices went up twice.
