GES 2024 Postings Released for Staff Returning from Study Leave with Pay

The Ghana Education Service (GES) has released the postings for staff returning from study leave with pay. After several months of waiting for reposting, Ghana Education Service staff who had completed their studies (study leave with pay) can now breathe a sigh of relief.
The release favors all 2024 staff who returned from study leave with pay per the release by the GES dates of November 6, 2024.
Members of the cohort can visit the GES portal to check their postings.
How to check the postings for staff returning from study leave with pay
The Ghana Education Service has instructed all its staff in the 2024 cohort, including those who are returning, to perform the following tasks:1. Log on to the official GES portal at gesmis.org for their specific postings and details.
2. Alternatively, visit any of the sixteen Regional Education Directorates for assistance in accessing the posting information.
3. Lastly, submit a report to the Regional Education Director at their current location for further instructions.
The release of the postings for staff returning from study leave with pay will provide the affected staff of the GES with a smooth transition back into their respective roles within the education system.
Angela Frimpomaa Nkansah, the Acting Director of Human Resource Management and Development (HRMD), signed the release conveying the above information on behalf of the Director-General.

In a related development, graduate teachers who applied for posting in September 2024 are calling on the management of the Ghana Education Service to break their silence on their hanging applications and release their appointment letters before 30th November 2024. They have vowed to vote against the ruling NPP government if they are not posted ahead of the December 7th, 2024, general elections. According to the teachers, they will vote against the NPP government if they are not posted before the elections are held.

The GES has yet to officially communicate any further details as to why the posting of graduate teachers for 2024 has been delayed.
