AirtelTigo has announced new Data and Voice Charges. According to AirtelTigo, the new Data and Voice charges for its cherished customers took effect today, 9th December.
This was contained in a text message sent to its customers on 8th December 2022. The late announcement made via text message to users seems not to have gotten to many of them.
“Dear Customer, to accommodate rising costs, we are updating our Data & Voice Bundles effective 9th Dec. Dial *111# to learn more. Thank you”
The company did not update its users ahead of time before introducing the new rates. Many users were not aware of the new prices.
The reaction by its customers on Twitter, sighted by GhanaEducation.Org shows that its clients are not excited by the news prices.
The complaints from customers were accompanied by screenshots of the new rates and their corresponding data values.
Effective today, these are the new prices and data values on AirtelTigo
- 30 GB of data on AirtelTigo cost GHS30.00 and will be valid for 30 days.
- 20 GB of data on AirtelTigo cost GHS20.00 and will be valid for 30 days
- 10 GB of data on AirtelTigo cost GHS10.00 and will be valid for 30 days

Many customers are complaining because there were not aware and others did not see the message which was sent on 8th December.
The new upward adjustment in the cost of Data and Voice was necessitated by current economic conditions in the country According to the Telco company.
