The CSSPS portal is scheduled to go live by next week. According to reports, about 187,542 BECE 2023 candidates will perform self-placement into a Senior High School.
The CSSPS will give an equal opportunity to all 2023 BECE candidates (0ver 570,000) to check their admission status into their selected Senior high schools.
The Minister for Education, Dr. Yaw Osei Adutwum disclosed that out of the 571,892 candidates only 555,353 met the requirements for the senior high school placement.
Out of the 571,892 candidates, 367,811 have been automatically placed into one of their selected senior high school. Additionally, about 187,542 candidates will have to do self-placement into the available senior high schools when the CSSPS portal goes live.
They need to do it quickly in order to secure a spot.
The Education Minster’s statement does not only give an insightful idea but also tells us about the importance of arranging and choosing the right schools in the right order.
However, the talk or the topic is now on the 187,542 candidates who are to do self-placement next week when the CSSPS portal goes live. These students have a challenging and important task ahead.
Although you might not have been placed into your preferred choice of senior high schools, you will have the opportunity to explore and also adapt after doing the self-placement.
Regardless, these candidates need to know that self-placement does not mean you did not get a school. It might be a variety of factors that you were not placed automatically.

1. Buy a placement checker HERE
2. Head to the official website (Cssps.gov.gh)
3. Enter your index number
4. Proceed to enter your serial number and pin from the purchased checker
5. Click on ‘submit’ and wait for your placement
6. Proceed to print your forms if you were placed
7. If you were not placed, automatically you will be directed to the self-placement portal
