The Dollar to cedi exchange rate rising faster as cedi depreciates further. Since 23rd December 2023 when the dollar started its recovery against the cedi, it has been on the ascendancy and has established a position of dominant power and influence over the cedi.

On 16th December the cedi rate was pegged at GHS8.95 per $1 and today, a $1 is pegged at  GHS11.96 by Google. Forex Bureaus like Afriswap in Accra are selling a dollar for GHS13.20.
