It has come to the notice of the Ghana Education News portal that hackers and scammers are directing unsuspecting students and parents to a fake website for checking their school placements. Several parents have called our outfit to seek explanations as to how to get the token for checking the school placement because they were directed to the fake site.
Parents and candidates are to note that the official site for checking the 2024 school placements is https://cssps.gov.gh/.
The 2024 school placement FAKE site to avoid
One of the dangerous sites some people have been directed to is CSSverify.com. Note that the site csspsverify.com is fake and must not be visited for the purposes of checking the school placement.
The fake site is not owned by the government. Only check the placement on the portal that has gov.gh as the domain extension.
A visit to the fake site will lead to the request for a token sent to your phone number. Note that this is fake. You do not need a token of any kind to check the school placement.
To check the placement, just visit https://cssps.gov.gh/ and key in your index number with at added to it. Pass the recapture test to prove you are a human, and then click submit to check the placement. The image below is the recapture, which must appear before you click on submit to check placement.

If the recapture test does not load, you cannot check the result; hence, be patient for it to load. For candidates who have not been placed but passed the exam, they must use the self-placement module on the same site.
Avoid scammers who are parading as persons with special connections to change school placements for you. Be careful you are not scammed by anyone who says he or she offers this service.
Finally, do not check 2024 school placement on this fake site. We call on the Ministry of Education and the Ghana Education Service to take proactive steps to ensure the activities of this site are stopped. CSSverify.com
