Doren Specialist Hospital Dragged over Rico Swavey’s Death

Over Rico Swavey’s death, Nigerians have criticized prominent Lagos hospital “Doren Specialist Hospital Ajah” on social media.

Rico Swavey, a former Big Brother Naija housemate, died in the early hours of Wednesday following a car accident in Lekki/Ajah, Lagos State. Tobi Bakre initiated the campaign to seek funds for his treatment.

Rico was sent to Doren Hospital following the collision, sources said.

A viral video showed medical staff insulting him as he fought for his life.

Gist lovers wrote, “Seems I finally got the hospital, some are saying it’s Evercare, they just did a disclaimer now saying it’s not them as Nigerians don almost drag life comot for their MD body, those ones don come out say no be them, one of the deceased family who pleaded anonymity talk say na this Doren hospital and on a closer look I see say be like say their uniform na the same and the environment @doren hospital come forward with a valid explanation and provide Peaceful arrival”

Rico Swavey’s Death

Rico Swavey, who was indisposed, was shown sitting on a chair getting oxygen while staff considered moving him to the Intensive Care Unit in the viral footage.

One of them chastised her employees for filming him battling for his life.

She noticed that they were more worried about videos than his grave health. “Oya, make we carry am now go inside,” one said, Her comment amused another nurse.

Another nurse, who wasn’t thrilled with their actions, added, “His oxygen is 90%. You folks should stop making video, and let’s relocate him. You’re producing films when someone is critically ill”.

Reacting to the revealing of the hospital’s name, one social media user remarked,
