BECE 2020 School Placement Out Today – More details

All is set for the Ghana Education Service (GES) to release the BECE 2020 School Placement. The information available to this portal indicates that the GES is likely to release the placement status of students today, February 3rd, 2021.
The school placement status once released will offer basic school graduates the opportunity to check and know the Senior High School they have been placed in based on their raw scores at the exam.
WAEC released the provisional results of the 2020 Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE) School Candidates on 16th November 2020.
A little over 500,000 graduates will be placed into schools, others would be given the self placement option if they fail to meet the requirements for automatic placement. BECE graduates are advised not to panic if they are instructed by the system to do the self placement.
BECE graduates who scored 9 in Mathematics and or Integrated Science are likely not to be placed in any of the five schools they selected.

BECE candidates who failed or obtained 9 in either Mathematics or integrated science have a slim chance of being placed in any Public Senior High School.
Such candidates can apply to Private SHS or resit the BECE as a private candidate. This will require that the candidate applies for the examination to be written in 2021 before the end of the registration.

Students whose results are still withheld by WAEC for examination malpractices would also miss the opportunity to be placed in any Senior High School.
The 2020 Senior High School Placement status is expected to be accessible on https://cssps.gov.gh/ the official website for checking school placements in Ghana.
