Empress Gifty Mocks Piesie Esther for losing Artiste Of The Year At VGMA 2023

Piesie Esther, a gospel singer, was widely expected to win the night’s top award, “Artiste of the Year,” at the 2023 Vodafone Ghana Music Awards.

Both the ‘Waye Me Yie’ hitmaker and the renowned gospel music group ‘Table of Men’ worked hard to spread the word about this story.

According to reports, The Table Of Men is a group of gospel media figures who aim to advance the agenda of the country’s gospel musicians, among other things.

Kwesi Ernest, one of the group’s key members, stated in various interviews that Piesie Esther would win the award no matter what, despite the fact that all signs indicated that Black Sherif stood the best chance of winning this coveted award.

Despite the Table of Men’s numerous campaigns and promises to the gospel music community, Piesie Esther was unable to win the award.

Soon after the 2023 Vodafone Ghana Music Awards named Black Sherif “Artiste of the Year,” gospel singer Empress Gifty poked fun at the Table of Men on her Facebook page.

She mentioned after the awards ceremony that she would need a new table and included laughing emojis.

Many of the people who have commented on her post have attributed it to the Table of Men, implying that she is subtly mocking them for failing to help Piesie win the award.
