GES gives 2 new updates on One Teach One Laptop Distribution

The Ghana Education Service has given two new updates on One Teach One Laptop distribution for the month of November 2022 to February 2023.

The GES in a letter dates 22nd November 2022 said that while the One Teach One Laptop distribution is going on as scheduled for the month, it has directed that teachers who retired after the deduction of money relating to the laptop were effected in November 2021 should be supplied with the laptops.

It further directed that teachers who have passed on after the laptop funds were deducted must be supplied the laptop through their relatives.

“In view of this, all retired staff whose payslips show that they were deducted for the laptop from November 2021 should be given their laptops relatives of deceased staff who have also been deducted for the laptop should contact the and be permitted to receive the laptop following proper verification of documents.” The letter directed.

Metro, Municipal District directors of education have also been instructed to communicate the information to their staff at all levels to ensure the One Teach One Laptop distribution is devoid of challenges.

Per the new TML1, laptop distribution schedule Primary and KG teachers who are yet to receive their laptops will be supplied the TML1 nationwide from 25th November to 30th December 2022.

This will be followed by the supply of the TML1 laptops to education office staff from January 10th to January 30th, 2023 nationwide.

The final group of beneficiaries of the TML1 laptop is the teachers on study leave and those whose names are captured on the final supplement lists from the Ghana Education Service (GES).

This final category will receive their laptops from the 5th to the 25th of February 2023.
