The Ghana Education Service (GES) after it last closed the computerized school placement portal (https://cssps.gov.gh) on March 10, 2021, says it will from today reopen the portal for students who sat for 2021 BECE to check their schools.
Explaining the policy to EducationWeb, a CSSPS staff said it would be a step in the wrong direction for a student to assume he/she can choose a less competitive course at a school and switch to a more competitive one upon admission
“Unfortunately, the guideline policy of the 2021 Computerized School Selection and Placement System doe does not permit a student to change course or his/her programme upon admission after the school placement,” he stated.
He likewise advised prospective students not to assume they can choose a Day school as a Day student and later switch to Boarding upon admission as his outfit prepares to release the much-awaited 2021 school placement.
Asked if the computer school placement has not been delayed, the Placement System official replied ‘No’ adding that his outfit and the various agencies under the Ministry of Education (MoE) are almost done with the placements.
Barring any cirucumstances, the spokesperson for the Ministry of Education (MoE), Kwasi Kwarteng say the 2021 school postings of Junior High School graduates who sat for the 2021 BECE by March 21, 2022 will be released by CSSPS.
Speaking on United Television (UTV) early this week, the Education Ministry Public Relations Officer (PRO) said “2021 the computer school placement results are to be expected from now to next week Monday, March 21, 2022.”
“The Management of the Computerized School Selection and Placement System (CSSPS), Ghana Education Service, Ghana TVET Service and Free SHS Secretariat are working on the school placement,” the PRO told Accra-based UTV.
In a recent press statement on the school placement, Kwasi Kwarteng has said the Dr Yaw Osei Adutwum led Ministry of Education (MoE) is working together with the various security agencies to arrest school placement fraudsters.

“The public is cautioned against the payment of monies to unscrupulous persons offering to secure their preferred choices ahead of the 2022 computerized school placement into Senior High/TVET schools,” he said on Thursday.
