GES to conduct Teacher Promotion Re-sit exams for Feb. 2021 candidates
The Ghana Education Service (GES) is set to conduct resit promotion exams for staff who failed Feb. 2021 test. This update came after it released the results of candidates who sat for this year’s February promotion test.
Teacher Promotion Re-sit exams
A staff of the Education Service said his outfit’s decision to conduct another promotion test is to give candidates who failed the earlier exams the opportunity to pass the second test. This was made to a sister education web educationweb dot com.
According to the GES official, the Service in August this year will conduct the second phase of the test for eligible teachers who unfortunately could not pass the just ended February teachers promotion examination.
“We will in due course organize another promotion exams in August this year to encourage those who unfortunately could not make it in the February test to take advantage of the second test,”.
The GES is yet to announce the Teacher Promotion Re-sit exams date. In a related development, teacher unions expect the GES to update them on the portal challenge and the difficult to comprehend the high rate of failure experienced in the February promotion examination.
In the February test, 46,486 candidates sat for the promotion test examination but 29,465 representing 63.3% successfully passed whiles the rest failed.

The 2021 promotion examination results according to Ghana’s Education Service (GES) can be accessed on https://www.gespromotions.gov.gh for a fee of GHC 10.00
