Guinness World Records Reacts After Afua Asantewaa Aduonum Longest Sing-a-Thon Attempt, and they cannot wait to have all the details.
The end has finally arrived for Afua Asantewaa Aduonum’s bid to shatter the record for the longest singing marathon.
In a five-day singing marathon that began at midnight on Sunday, December 24, and ended at 7:00 a.m. on December 29, Afua Asantewaa shattered the previous record of 105 hours set by an Indian in 2012.
Her record effort, Afua, came to an end on Friday morning after five days, six hours, and fifty-five minutes of performance. However, note that her video evidence will be audited by Guiness World Record, and some portions will be taken out before a final decision can be taken.
After her incredible success, Afua Asantewaa took to the podium to publicly thank all of her supporters, including those who couldn’t make it to Akwaaba Village.

Abrantie Kwasi Gyamfi, a journalist from Ghana, managed to get a response from Guinness World Records thanks to her efforts and the many Ghanaians who commented on the organization’s official Facebook page.
Abrantia Kwame Gyamfi wrote to GWR on Twitter and said…
Abrantia Kwame Gyamfi: Hey, Guinness World Record Ghana is buzzing with the Sing-a-thon challenge with Afua Asantewaa O Adunum…Ghana is joining your list of records soon.
Guinness World Record: We look forward to receiving evidence, this event certainly seems to have captured the public’s imagination
The body’s response demonstrated that Afua and her colleagues still needed to gather more evidence before they could be accepted as genuine.
