Sexual control is not even a topic taught in schools but something teachers must apply every day in school. Sexual control, if not well applied, could lead one to prison or even cause loss of job/income, as in the case of a teacher of Dakpema D/A Junior High School who was Interdicted on allegations of a sexual assault on his pupil by a letter dated 26th January 2022 on the advice of the Director-General of Ghana Education Service.

The case is currently being investigated by the Northern Regional DOVVSU unit with the teacher on police inquiry bail. It is understood the teacher allegedly lured the pupil into his office before trying the assault on her but she resisted.

In the process, the teacher allegedly releases what is suspected to be seamen on the girl. She later reported the issue to one of the female teachers who, together with the headteacher, reported the case to the police.
