Mahama excited about vibrancy of the NDC in Canada

Former President John Mahama, the flagbearer of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) for the 2024 elections, recently attended a fundraising luncheon hosted by the Canada Chapter of the party in Toronto. The event not only provided an opportunity for financial support but also showcased the vitality of the NDC within the Canadian Ghanaian community.
During the event, Mahama commended the NDC Canada Chapter for its strong organization and vibrancy, dispelling any misconceptions about the party’s presence in Canada. He emphasized, “Most people have the thinking that the NDC is not very vibrant here in Canada. I will go and tell them that we have a very strong, vibrant, energetic, enthusiastic chapter in Ghana.”
Highlighting the importance of hard work, unity, and continuous support, the former president encouraged attendees to rally behind the NDC to secure a victory in the upcoming 2024 elections.
Mahama expressed deep gratitude to chapter members who devoted their time, effort, and resources to raise funds for the party. He acknowledged that these contributions would play a vital role in the party’s vision for a better Ghana in 2025.
In particular, Mahama lauded the Chapter’s unwavering support for Assin North MP James Gyakye Quayson, who retained his seat in a recent by-election. He urged provincial branch executives to collaborate with the Chapter to disseminate the NDC’s message of hope and expand its support base.
The former president also commended the Chapter for its commitment to fostering stronger ties within the Ghanaian community in Canada, encouraging them to persist in their endeavors.
Mahama’s presence at the event invigorated the audience, and the attendees were highly receptive, breaking into applause and dance at various intervals of the program. Many felt that his visit had rekindled their dedication and commitment to the NDC’s cause.

During his stay, he also seized the opportunity to connect with members of his party, the Ghanaian community, and potential investors interested in Ghana and Africa.
