In a shocking turn of events, a man has lost his life after being crushed by a robot in South Korea.
According to reports from South Korean media outlets, the incident occurred at a warehouse in South Gyeongsand province where the man, who was in his 40s, was involved in inspecting a sensor of the robot.
The robot, which was primarily tasked with lifting boxes of bell peppers, tragically misidentified the man as one of the boxes.

As a result, the mechanical arm of the robot pushed the man’s upper body onto a conveyor belt, causing severe injury to his face and chest.
Despite immediate medical attention, the man succumbed to his injuries while being treated at the hospital.
This incident has once again raised concerns about the safety measures in place when working alongside robots.
The Donggoseong Export Agricultural Complex, the organization that owns the warehouse, issued a statement expressing their grief over the situation and highlighting the need for a “precise and safe” system to be established to avoid such accidents in the future.
Unfortunately, this is not the first occurrence of a mishap involving a robot killing a man in South Korea. Just a few months ago, a man in his 50s suffered serious injuries when he was trapped by a robot while working at a vehicle parts manufacturing plant.
