Opoku Ware unleashed SHS1 student (Baah) to win 2023 NSMQ Quarter Final
The internet is amazed by the brilliance of the young Opoku Ware SHS form one student taking part in the ongoing NSMQ. He is Stephen Kofi Apemaa Baah. He helped the school win the 2023 NSMQ Quarter Final and booked a spot in the Semi-Final after sending Osei Tutu SHS and St. John’s School parking out of the competition.
Stephen Baah’s performance in the semi-final clash was a sight to behold, as he was not moved by the occasion. He actually did not look like an SHS1 student based on how he answered questions and the depth of knowledge he displayed each time he attempted a question.
Apparently, Stephen Kofi Apemaa Baah was cut out to study science at the Senior High School and had been introduced to competitive science quiz competitions at the Junior High School level. While in JHS, he helped his school, then Good Shepherd R/C JHS, win the Junior Science And Maths Quiz.
In that competition, Good Shepherd R/C Junior High School in Kumasi beat off competition from Kyere Educational Complex and Belhaven Montessori to win the 2022 edition of the Junior Science and Maths Quiz.
At the end of the first quarterfinal contest of the day, Opoku Ware School won with 45 points, while Osei Tutu SHS came in second with 43 points, followed by St. John’s School with 18 points.
In the 2023 NSMQ Quarter Final Clash, the Osei Tutu SHS provided all the needed threats to shake the hope of Opoku Ware, but the OWASS lads kept their composure and won the contest with a difference of 2 points between them and Osei Tutu SHS. One more correct answer by Osei Tutu SHS would have changed the entire narrative.
However, the brilliance of Baah was enough to help the Opoku Ware contestants neutralize every effort of Osei Tutu SHS. Stephen Kofi Apemaa Baah is likely to represent the school in the next two competitions since he is currently in Form 1. As he develops and progresses to forms 2 and 3, he is expected to be a deadly, brilliant weapon to be used by Opoku Aware SHS to make a case for the school in this competition and subsequent ones in the years to come.
Stephen Baah of OWASS becomes the first ever form 1 student to qualify for the semis of the National Science and Math quiz.
Opoku Aware SHS will be polishing and unleashing Baah in their semi-finals and all eyes will be on him to pull another great performance for the school.
