Where Is The Money That Was Refunded To You? Koku Queries Asiedu Nketsia

Koku Anyidoho has questioned the General Secretary of the National Democratic Congress, Johnson Asiedu Nketsia to account for the refund that the Electoral Commission made to the NDC
The National Democratic Congress officially made a request to the Electoral Commission for a refund of their parliamentary and presidential fees for the 2020 general elections in 2021.
In a letter signed by the General Secretary of the Party in 2021, Johnson Asiedu Nketsia, the Functional Executive Committee of the party explained that they had met the regulations of the EC Constitutional Instruments embodying the refund of filing fees. For that matter, they officially requested for the refund to be made to the official account.
“FEC also wishes to inform you that it is formally requesting a refund of deposits it made in respect of its Presidential and Parliamentary candidates.
Regulations 46(1) and 46(3) of C.I 127 spells out the conditions for a refund or forfeiture of deposits made by Presidential or Parliamentary candidates. A presidential or Parliamentary candidate must obtain a minimum of 25% and 12.5% respectively in a General Election to qualify for a refund.
We would be grateful if you could refund their deposits into the NDC account with GCB Bank Ltd, Accra New Town Branch, A/C No. 1181130011568.”, the letter read.

For that matter, Koku Anyidoho queried Asiedu Nketsia to account for the money only if it had been paid.
