The government of Ghana has extended the SIM registration until July 31st, 2022. This extension comes after several calls from stakeholders on government.
The Ministry of Communication and digitalization, Hon. Ursula Owusu-Ekuful signed the press release which announced the extension.
The Extension of the Deadline for SIM Card Registration was expected to end on 31st March 2022 however more than 7.5 million users of SIMs were yet to complete the re-registration of SIM cards.
To facilitate a fast process for registering SIM users, are efforts being initiated such as the introduction of SIM registration apps and others to facilitate the process.
