“A deeply distressing video has surfaced of an alleged teacher at the Nyinahin Catholic Senior High School in the Atwima Mponua District of the Ashanti Region violently assaulting a young student.”

At the scene were two other female students who were giving commentary at the scene while the physical scuffle between the schoolgirl and the supposed teacher was captured on video for nearly 75 seconds.

During the physical scuffle, the other students present were helpless and felt the teacher was going beyond boundaries with his punitive and aggressive behavior. His effort looked more like one aimed at pinning the female student on the floor of the hostel-like facility.

The students who spoke Asante Twi during the incident kept calling on the teacher to end the physical confrontation, but their pleas fell on deaf ears.

At a point in time during the physical confrontation, the male teacher sat on the female student and kept hitting her near-naked body with his palm after he had succeeded in pinning the girl to the floor.

As if that was not enough, he also forcibly carried the student and hit her on the floor before pinning her again to the floor by the neck. At this time, the female student was helpless and remained calm.

According to our sources, the disagreement stemmed from unpaid hostel fees allegedly owed by the student and some of her colleagues. The teacher, who is said to serve as the hostel caretaker, was reportedly demanding payment of the outstanding fees when tensions escalated.

In the video recording, voices sighted can be heard during the heated exchange and fight, with one student expressing frustration over the repeated confrontations.

The student is heard saying, “Sir, remove all the Form Three students from the room instead of fighting us every day over money.”

The exact circumstances that led to the altercation remain unclear.
