UCC Level 100 reopening date postponed until further notice
The reopening date for undergraduate students at University of Cape Coast (UCC) Level 100 has been postponed for the 2024-2025 academic year. Ghana Education News spotted a press release announcing this.
The university stated in a press release on November 20, 2024, that “circumstances beyond the control of university management” led to the decision. However, it did not provide additional details to explain what it meant by the phrase in its press release.
Therefore, UCC has urged all students impacted by the university’s decision to visit the admission portal and reprint their admission letters. It added that the reprinted admission letter will reflect the university’s updated reopening date.
The statement read, “Due to circumstances beyond the control of University Management, we have rescheduled the reopening date for fresh level 100 students of the University of Cape Coast for the 2024/2025 academic year until further notice.”
The University of Cape Coast’s management has also assured the public and affected students that they will soon receive information about the revised date for reopening.

Although UCC is not the first to announce the postponement of its reopening date for the 2024-2025 academic year, prospective students and their families have responded to the news with mixed emotions. The delay is expected to impact the academic schedules of the institution, particularly for students who were preparing to report for the start of the school year.
According to the press release, the university has rescheduled the reopening date for fresh level 100 students until further notice. The letter’s directive, which instructs students to reprint their admission letters to reflect the new reopening date, contradicts this statement.
The 2024-2025 academic year may not begin for students who are expected to start their level 100 university education until after mid-January 2025, according to discussions on the matter on social media that this portal has spotted.
