Thousands To Resit For GCSE Maths And English
Compared to last year, more that thousands of students are set to re-sit for their GCSE Maths and English. More students will need to re-sit for the GCSE English and Maths this year.
As compared to last year, there has been a major increase of fail in this year’s GCSE English and Maths. According to statistics, more than one hundred and sixty-seven thousand (167,000) students attained grade three(3) or even lower in their Maths GCSE.
A total, upon estimation, of one hundred and seventy-two thousand (172,000) failed the GCSE English. According to reports, this is the highest number of failed students in ten years now.
The Headteachers’/Headmasters’ Union have also revealed that they will do whatever it takes for this not to happen again by putting more intense pressure on all Colleges. This is the second year with a massive increase in ‘fails’.
Per BBC News, an anonymous parent disclosed to them that, her son performed exceptionally in Music, Media, Art, Photography, and English but failed Maths although he did have extra lessons.
The mother who also revealed that his son has dyslexia and autistic, is a great musician who is planning to take his A-levels in film studies but will then have to re-sit for Maths.
One can take his or her A-levels in England with grade 4 or above in English and Maths GCSE, also one can still take the A-levels whiles preparing for re-sit for either the English or Maths.
