WAEC begins May/June 2023/24 G/ABCE registration – Register Here

Registration for the 2023 May/June General and Advance Business Certificate Examinations (G/ABCE) has begun. According to the West African Examinations Council (WAEC), G/ABCE registration will conclude on Thursday, April 6, 2023.

The non-profit group (WAEC) said in a social media post seen by Ghanaeducation.org that prospective applicants can consult its official website waecgh.org for detailed information on the exam registration process.

Qualification for the GBCE

The General Business Certificate Examination is open to both school and private candidates, that is, students who attend schools that prepare them for the exam and students who study independently for the exam.

How To Register

The entry time runs from December to February and lasts three months. School officials are expected to register their students and submit their entry information online.

Private applicants must register solely online. Candidates can learn more about how to register for the test at www.waecgh.org

End of Term Exams

Certificate

A candidate who gets at least a pass in one of the examination subjects is awarded the General Business Certificate. The Group Certificate is given to a candidate who passes all the pertinent subjects in a single sitting.

A candidate who fails to meet the criteria for the granting of a Group Certificate is given a certificate for each subject passed.

Qualification for ABCE

The Advanced Business Certificate Examination (ABCE) is open to both school candidates and candidates who prepare privately for the exam.

Candidates with GCE ‘O’ Level/SSSCE/WASSCE/General Business Certificate/Royal Society of Arts Stage II/London Chamber of Commerce and Industry Stage II Level passes in the relevant subjects may be deemed qualified for the test.

Criteria for Diploma Award

A DIPLOMA certificate will be given to a candidate who passes all three required and two optional subjects in two sittings within a maximum of two calendar years from the date of the first registration.

A candidate who is unable to acquire a pass in all subjects within two years of first registration will be issued a single certificate.
