When WAEC officially releases the 2023 WASSCE results, it will, as usual, withhold the results of some candidates for alleged engagement in one or multiple examination malpractices.
If you find out that your result is not accessible to you after WAEC releases the results, you have to be worried because it could mean one of the following:.
- WAEC withholds your results. Following this, WAEC will invite you to participate in its examination investigation.
- WAEC has cancelled your result. You may not be invited at all.
- WAEC has cancelled the entire result for your school. Invitation of the leadership of the school and some students to face the WAEC examination malpractices investigation committee
- WAEC has cancelled your entire result as a candidate. Invitation of the leadership of the school and some students to face the WAEC examination malpractices investigation committee
- You may not have returned borrowed books, some other school property, a levy your parents failed to pay, etc.

Where to find the 2023 WASSCE withheld results and what to do
When any of the above happens and you are not able to assess all or some of your results, do the following:
- Contact your available teacher or school on the phone to know the next line of action.
- Visit your school to check out what the problem is.
- On the WAEC website, such as this page [waecgh.org/withheld], you will find an update on all candidates who engaged in any form of examination infraction. WAEC will also publish their names, the schools they attended, and the date on which each of the students listed must meet the WAEC examination malpractice committee to assist in completing their investigations. If you find your name in the list on the withheld results page, then get ready to face WAEC.

If you fail to honour WAEC’s invitation, they will make a decision on your absence, and often it will not favour you.
If WAEC is convinced that you did not engage in any malpractices, your results will be released. However, if the opposite happens, you may have your subject result or entire result cancelled.
If your issue has to do with not returning one or more school properties, you have nothing to worry about. Once you return it, school management will initiate the process to ensure WAEC permits you to access your result.
We hope this post has been useful. However, it is our prayer that you will not find your name on the 2023 WASSCE withheld results page and that you will pass the exam and get the best grade when you check your results.
