2022 BECE Results Released; 416 Results Cancelled
WAEC Ghana has officially released the 2022 BECE results for both private and public candidates across the country.
The West African Examinations Council (WAEC) has released preliminary results for both school and private candidates in the 2022 Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE).
For bringing foreign materials into the examination hall or colluding with other candidates, the subject results of 416 school candidates and three private candidates were canceled.
Aside from that, the results of 73 school candidates and two private candidates have been voided for bringing mobile phones into the examination hall.
The subject results of 38 high school students have been withheld pending the completion of investigations into various allegations of examination malpractice.
The results of 11 school candidates have also been withheld pending the completion of investigations into various allegations of examination malpractice.
This was revealed in a press statement signed and issued on Wednesday night by Rev Victor Brew, the Head of Legal at WAEC, on behalf of the Head of the National Office, dated January 25, 2023.
“Last year, both school and private candidates received the same diet of examination,” WAEC stated.
WAEC stated that the results of school candidates will be sent to their respective schools via the Metropolitan/Municipal/District Directors of Education.
Private Candidates’ performance can be evaluated on the Council’s website, www.waecgh.org.
School candidates may also access their results online at the Council’s website, according to the statement.
