The Education-News Consult has released the 2024 BECE Home Mock for February. Parents, guardians, and candidates can now access the 2024 BECE Home Mock Provisionals Results for February on our result portal at examhall.org.
We call for a result-focused approach and support from parents for their wards who did not score grade 1-5 in the subjects they were examined in. This demands urgent attention.
The following is the grade for the examination:
90-100 = 1
80-89 = 2
70- 79= 3
60-69 = 4
55-59 = 5
50-54= 6
40-49 = 7
35-39 = 8
00-34 = 9
Students are projected to score a worse 70 in each subject taken; however, this has not been the case. More practice and revision are needed across all subjects. The marking schemes, marked scripts, and detailed examiner’s report should guide students to work on their weaknesses.
Kindly take note of the following:
- Please send all subject results marked as PENDING OR RESEND to our WhatsApp line for a final review before we release the results for those subjects.
- Parents and candidates should take the examiner’s report seriously.
- We noticed general weaknesses in both integrated science and mathematics. Parents should help their wards with extra tuition if they can afford to help iron out the challenges.
- General Recommendations for Candidates
- Follow the exam rules and instructions carefully. This includes proper question numbering, answer formatting, and clarity of answers.
- Practice effective time management. Allocate time according to each section’s weight and difficulty.
- Avoid using AI or copying directly from textbooks. Focus on understanding and applying your knowledge independently.
- Proofread your work before submitting. Students must always read through their work before submitting it. This will ensure clarity, proper grammar, and correct spelling.
Recommendations for Parents:
- Support and guide your child to adhere to exam rules.
- Monitor their study habits and encourage consistent practice.
- Help them identify their strengths and weaknesses in a variety of subjects.
- Seek professional tutoring or study resources if needed.
- Motivate and encourage your child throughout the preparation process.
Remember, consistent effort, dedication, and proper guidance are key to success in the BECE.
