2024 GES Recruitment Update and Date – Must Read For All Teachers

The latest 2024 GES Recruitment Update and Date for graduate teachers have been released by the Director of Africa Education Watch, Kofi Asare.
The Director of Africa Education Watch, Kofi Asare, has urged tertiary graduates aiming to join the Ghanaian Education Service this academic year to be patient, as the GES recruitment deadline is set to be revealed soon.
He explained on a platform in social media that “Plenty of messages on when Ghana Education Service is recruiting. Please, Ghana Education Service never recruits in secret. When it is time, their Facebook page will announce.”.

His comment comes after the last academic year disclosed that approximately 24,000 teachers will be recruited in the 2024–2025 academic year by the Ghana Education Service (GES) under the auspices of the Ministry of Education.
The 2024 GES Recruitment Update from Mr. Asare seems to have cleared the air however, many more teachers want to know the date.
Meanwhile, the Education Service has said the recruitment portal to accept applications from newly trained teachers will be opened depending on the academic calendar of basic schools and financial clearance from the government.
An official of the Ghana Education Service said the Ministry of Finance’s financial clearance for GES to recruit new graduates into service this year will expire on December 31, 2024.
The Ghana Education Service (GES) staff indicated that his outfit, after being given the financial clearance, works tirelessly to ensure more graduate teachers are recruited into service before the end of the recruitment clearance deadline.
“We hope that we recruit more graduates before the end of December 31, because our financial clearance from the Ministry of Finance is to ensure that we employ before the end of December each year,” he stated in the interview.

The official further advised tertiary institution graduates seeking to be employed to pay attention to job announcements put out by the Ghana Education Service (GES) in terms of criteria for recruitment financial clearance.
