2024 WASSCE Results to be released by Dec. 29th -MoE
The Minister of Education has assured secondary school graduates who completed SHS in 2024 that their pending 2024 WASSCE results will be released soon. According to reliable sources, the Ministry of Education has released an additional GHS25 million to the West African Examination Council (WAEC) to enable it to carry out its mandate and release the results, which had been delayed due to a lack of funding.
Dr. Yaw Adutwum has also given students hope by stating that their WASSCE results will be released on or before 29th December 2024, instead of January 2025.
This announcement contradicts earlier reports and information shared by WAEC. According to the latest update from the Minister, the 2024 WASSCE results will be released on or before 29th December 2024.
The release of the results will be welcome news and will enable tertiary institutions to complete their admission processes for WASSCE candidates who applied for Level 100 first-degree programs. Such students cannot be fairly granted or denied admission without their results being uploaded onto the admission portals of the various institutions.
In a related development, the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST) has released a simplified procedure to secure hostel accommodation for all its international students who have been granted admission to follow for registering for hostel accommodation on campus.
The university has also urged all applicants to visit the admission portal to confirm and verify KNUST admission information accuracy such as biodata, including names, date of birth, age, gender, and other details, before the admission office closes the portal.
Additionally, KNUST has announced dates and venues on campus for students to undergo their medical examinations, which began on 23rd December. The medical team will take a break for Christmas and resume work on 2nd January to continue the process.
