Fidelity Bank Calls on Customers To Protect Their Banking Details
Following the purported hacking of Fidelity Bank’s Banking Mobile App being circulated via social media through a viral audio and video, the bank has called on Customers To Protect Their Banking Details.
The financial institution has disclosed that its mobile app and security systems have not been hacked, as was indicated in the audio.
“The accompanying audio insinuating that the Fidelity Mobile App has been hacked is false and should be disregarded.” A statement from the bank to its customers and the general public said.
Fidelity Bank Calls on Customers To Protect Their Banking Details
The bank further called on customers and the public not to disclose sensitive bank details to anyone. These include PIN, Password, OTP, or Date of Birth.
“We urge all our customers and the general public not to share their PIN, Password, OTP, or Date of Birth with anyone. Fidelity Bank will never call you to ask for this information: The statement indicated.

According to the communiqué from the bank, the activities of these fraudsters are similar to the mobile money fraud within the mobile money space in the country and called on all to guard their banking details.
The fraudsters attempt to contact persons with accounts at the bank and attempt to convince them to give out their PIN, Password, OTP, or Date of Birth.
This advice should be taken seriously by all persons who have and operate bank accounts to ensure they are safe from any Banking Mobile App Fraud attempts by criminals and fraudsters who may target customers of banks.
