GES’ Newly posted teachers not paid 7 months after posting?

Information reaching Ghana Education News shows that newly posted teachers are facing the realities of the harsh economic condition as their salaries have not been paid 7 months into their appointment and postings.

A concerned teacher who was posted along with others seven months ago has penned down a rather disheartening situation as they wait forever for government to pay their deserved salaries.

“Looking at the situation in Ghana, these newly posted teachers have been left to their fate to suffer for no reason, and it’s all in the name of STAFF ID, UNTIL WHEN WILL THE STAFF ID BE RELEASED FOR NEWLY POSTED TEACHERS TO DO BIOMETRIC AND THEN GET PAID OR THE PEOPLE RESPONSIBLE FOR GENERATING THE STAFF ID ARE NOT WORKING OR WHAT’S GOING ON” The post quizzed.

PAY NEWLY POSTED TEACHERS NOW!!!!!!!!

This year 2022, an appointment was given to newly trained teachers who had successfully completed college, passed the compulsory licensure examination, and finally done the mandatory national service and were posted to different villages and towns to teach.

Newly posted teachers started work on the 1st February 2022 and as at now
Newly posted teachers are yet to be paid

It’s barely seven months and these newly posted are suffering from the government’s silence on the situation.
In fact, how do you expect a newly posted teachers who have travelled to a different village and town to survive
At times, some teachers have to pound fufu before they eat
Others too have turned to their Gari ie. soakings
Which is very pathetic🤦🏾‍♂️
