INTRODUCTION

Lakehead University recognizes the academic accomplishments of overseas students who are enrolling into full-time undergraduate study at the university. These scholarships are called the International Undergraduate Entrance Scholarships. The Lakehead Institution campuses are located in Thunder Bay and Orillia in the province of Ontario in Canada. Lakehead University is a public research university. Students can choose from a variety of bachelor’s degree and master’s degree programs offered by the institution.

Eligibility Requirement: Applicants must fulfill all of the following requirements to be considered:

Students who are not Canadian nationals can enter Lakehead Institution either directly enrolling in the university or by transferring from an overseas college or university that has been approved for admission. Top international high school seniors who submit applications to Lakehead University for the 2023–2024 academic year will be awarded the scholarship.

How to Enroll

• Students must first be accepted into the university’s undergraduate degree program in order to be considered for this scholarship. Once you’ve enrolled, submit your applications to the Ontario Universities Application Centre, and they’ll be reviewed for the award automatically.
• Requirements for Admission: Those interested must already hold a relevant degree.
• The institution requires the following documents to be presented by the students as part of their enrollment requirements: Official transcripts, The authorization form and the character reference letter, and Official transcripts from college or university.
• English Language Requirement: All international applicants whose first language is not English must show that they can speak, read, write, and understand English.

What you stand to benefit

The amount of the award will be given in the following ways:

• $40,000 ($10,000 x 4 years)¹(For 90%+)
• $30,000 ($7,500 x 4 years)² (For 80.0% – 89.9%)
• $6,000 ($6,000 in Year 1 only)³ (For 75.0% – 79.9%)
