PRESEC Legon Announces Reporting Date for Final-Year Students

Presbyterian Boys’ Secondary School (PRESEC Legon) has announced Monday, September 21, 2026, as the reopening date for all Form 3 students.

The school has issued a notice to final-year students and their parents ahead of the reopening, outlining reporting times, school rules and requirements for the new academic period.

According to the notice, all Form 3 students are expected to report to school on Monday, September 21, 2026.

Students are expected to report between 8:00am and 5:00pm. The school has warned that its gates will be locked at 5:30pm, after which no vehicle will be allowed to enter the school compound.

PRESEC Legon warns students against late reporting

Management has cautioned students who fail to report on the reopening date that they will face sanctions in accordance with the school’s rules and regulations.

The school will also hold a reopening assembly or ceremony on Monday, September 21, at 6:00pm.

The ceremony will be addressed by the Headmaster, and all students are expected to be present.

Final-year students given appearance instructions

PRESEC Legon has reminded Form 3 students to return to school with the required appearance expected of students of the school.

Students are required to trim their hair and maintain the approved PRESEC Legon standard when reporting.

The school has also reiterated that beards are not permitted for students. Parents have therefore been advised to provide their wards with enough shaving blades for subsequent shaving while at school.

Students reporting to campus are expected to wear white shirts and khaki trousers.

PRESEC Legon issues warning over phones and gadgets

The school has again warned parents not to allow their wards to bring mobile phones and other unauthorised gadgets to campus.

Housemasters will inspect students’ trunks and luggage when they arrive. Any unprescribed items, including prohibited phones and gadgets, will be confiscated and submitted to the Senior Housemaster’s office.

Management has warned that students who breach the school’s rules on mobile phones and other gadgets will be severely sanctioned.

However, students offering ICT as an elective are permitted to bring laptops to school.

Such laptops must be handed over to the Housemaster or ICT tutors immediately after the students arrive on campus.

Students reminded about church service clothing

Form 3 students have also been instructed to return with their white long-sleeve shirts and white trousers for church services.

They are expected to wear black or brown belts with simple hooks. Fashionable belt hooks are not permitted.

The school has also reminded students that fizzy drinks and Crocs sandals are banned on campus.

Only polishable shoes and sandals are permitted. Mirror shoes and tourist sandals that cannot be polished are not allowed.

Room and bed allocation to be first come, first served

Another important instruction concerns the allocation of rooms and beds.

PRESEC Legon said room and bed allocation will be strictly on a first-come, first-served basis.

Students who report late should therefore not expect a particular room or bed to be reserved for them.

The school has also instructed all returning students to register with their respective Housemasters immediately after arriving on campus.

PRESEC prefects to report earlier

In a special notice, the school announced that all school and house prefects are required to report on Thursday, September 17, 2026.

The prefects are expected to assist with the admission process for the incoming Form 1 students.

This means prefects will return several days before the general Form 3 reopening date to support the school’s preparations for the new students.

PRESEC Legon assures parents of students’ safety

Management has assured parents and guardians that necessary measures will be taken to ensure the safety of students on campus.

The school said the measures are intended to support a smooth academic environment as students return to school.

For Form 3 students, the immediate priority is to report on time, follow the school’s appearance requirements and avoid bringing prohibited items to campus.

Parents are therefore expected to help their wards prepare properly before September 21, 2026, to avoid unnecessary sanctions or difficulties during the reopening process.
