Sad News Hit SHS Students In The Eastern Region

Senior High School students in the Eastern region were hit with an unfortunate and sad news on Friday, 2nd June, 2023.
On Friday, 2nd June, 2023, a bus carrying students of Osino Presby School crashed in a tragic accident claiming the lives of two students and scores injured at Teacher Mante, in the Eastern Region.
The students were on a mini bus with registration number GG-2071-21. They were returning back home for a one-week mid-semester break when this sad incident happened on the way.
According to report, the driver of the mini bus, who was heading to Accra from Osino was speeding. The vehicle tyre burst and the driver is said to have lost control of the wheel resulting in the somersaulting.
Some residents in an early intervention help rescue the trapped students.
The bodies of the two have since been deposited at the Nsawam Hospital mortuary

All senior high school students in Ghana went on break onThursday, 1st June, 2023. This was a mid semester break for all pre-tertiary institutions in Ghana.
According to the Ghana Education Service, the mid semester break will start from 2nd June, 2023 and end on 9th June, 2023. The mid semester break is for all students in the senior high school(all tracks). It is a one week break.
According to the Ghana Education Service, this mid semester break is not compulsory. This means, any student who decides to stay on campus must be accommodated and fed.

Also, any senior high school that do not want its final year students to go home because of the school’s WASSCE preparation measures are permitted to do so.
