UCC SRC condemns hostel price hikes on campus amid high demand

In the midst of a rapid increase in covid-19 cases and economic hardship, there have been hostel price hikes on the UCC campus. The Students Representative Council (SRC) of the University of Cape Coast (UCC) reacting to the worrying development described the drastic increase of campus hostel prices as exploitative and unfair.
The high prices quoted for hostels are the result of the high demand for student accommodation. The (SRC) has promised to work hard to get appropriate authorities to address the situation.
