- The U.S. Embassy Accra, Ghana is seeking eligible applicants for the position of Administrative Clerk. The schedule for this position is full time 40 hours per week.

Duties of the US Embassy Administrative Clerk
This is an administrative and program support position in the Office of Agricultural Affairs (OAA). Support for office travel and transportation is a large component of the incumbent’s work but responsibilities extend to all facets of office operations. Scope and nature of support required of the position changes continually as the OAA’s work changes.
Qualifications and Evaluations
- Requirements:
- EXPERIENCE: Two years’ experience in clerical and basic office practices and in the use of computers and other office automation equipment. Must hold a valid driver’s license.
JOB KNOWLEDGE: Knowledge of basic office procedures and business etiquette in Ghana. General knowledge of Ghana government administrative procedures.
- Education Requirements: Two years of post secondary education is required.
- Evaluations: LANGUAGE: Good working knowledge in English and at least one local language is required. (Language proficiency will be tested).
- SKILLS AND ABILITIESAbility to drive and maintain an automobile (holds valid driver’s license). “The job holder must have held a driver’s license for at least five years.” Ability to use computer software and hardware for word processing, spreadsheets, database management, scanning, GPS, mapping, internet browsing, internet search, data entry, and online administration and processing. Ability to photograph effectively using camera with advanced functions. Ability to work cooperatively in a team, to interact effectively with clients and service providers, and to adapt to new or significantly modified responsibilities. Ability to lift up to 50 pounds of materials/equipment, and ability to lift/move heavier loads of material/equipment with the assistance of carts/trolleys. (Computer and Driving skills may be tested.)
