Few days ago, WAEC Ghana released an official statement regarding the release of the 2023 WASSCE results.
What Does WAEC Mean By ‘Early December’?
In the official statement that seeks to address the official release of the provisional results of the 2023 WASSCE, WAEC Ghana stated that the 2023 WASSCE results will be released ‘early December’.
Early December in this context means, that the results will be released within the 1st of December to the 7th of December.
The predicted date for the release of the WASSCE results is 2nd December 2023. Note that, this date is just predicted correlating to the statement, ‘Early December’.
Moreover, a total of 447,204 students sat for the 2023 WASSCE few months ago. Out of the 447,204, 235,370 were females, representing 52.6%. Out of the 447,204, 211,834 were males representing 47.4%.
The total number of schools that took the examination were 975.
Also, this is a great rise in number of candidates who sat for the 2023 WASSCE compared to that of 2022 (422,883). According to WAEC Ghana, the 2023 WASSCE was written across 834 examination centres.
Candidates wrote 8 subjects in total; 4 mandatory core subjects and 56 electives to choose the remaining four from.
For you to be able to check your 2023 WASSCE results, you need to know the following details;
- Index number
- Examination type (WASSCE, School)
- Examination year (2023)
- Your date of birth
- Serial number and PIN
In calculating the aggregate, note that all Science students are required to leave out the social students. That is, you need your best three core subjects and three electives as well. So, for a science student, your best three has already been selected and these are;
- English Language
- Integrated Science
- Core Mathematics
Even if you get an A1 in Social Studies and a B2 in Integrated Science, you cannot add the Social Studies to your aggregate as a Science student.
Upon the release of the 2023 WASSCE results, we wish all candidates the very best.
