The management of the Ghana Education Service (GES) has disclosed details of the actions to be taken against SHS students insulting President Nana Addo in a viral video.
The students dished out a series of unprintable words and insults on the President for saying “Sika Np3 Dede” during his address on the economy. While on their insult spree, the five students who have been identified as SHS two students of the Chiana SHS said they would prefer to use the head of the President for Money rituals.
Reacting to the viral video in a press release “VIRAL VIDEO OF CHIANA SHS STUDENTS MISCONDUCT” the GES has stated that its attention has been drawn to the viral video circulating on social media involving some students misconducting themselves and using vulgar language and unprintable words on the President of our land.

Current Actions taken so far by the GES are as follows
- Investigations have been initiated at the level by school management has initiated investigations to unravel the circumstances of the unfortunate utterances and gestures of the students.
- The parents of the five students have also been invited to help in the investigations of the matters.
- The GES has offered an apology to the President of Ghana for the unfortunate incident

The Ghana Education Service policies on student misconduct are clear and the sanctions that these students may face include but are not limited to suspension for a period, de-boardinzation of the students if they are boarding students of the school as well as the signing of a bond of to be of good behaviour.
In the coming days, the GES is expected to brief the public on the final disciplinary and punitive actions to be taken against SHS students insulting Nana Addo in the viral video.
