GMA-USA Appoints Arnold Asamoah Baidoo As Board Chairman

United Showbiz panelist and radio activist, Arnold Asamoah-Baidoo has been named as the Chairman of the freshly established Board for the 2024 Ghana Music Awards – USA (GMA-USA).

His selection is attributed to his extensive background in public relations and communications, which is deemed invaluable for the role. Asamoah-Baidoo’s extensive involvement in the creative sector, including collaborations with various brands, artists, and events, aligns well with the objectives of the GMA-USA.

As Chairman, Asamoah-Baidoo will lead a distinguished team responsible for overseeing the categorization and nomination process for the awards. The Board comprises notable figures such as renowned music producers David Kyei (Kaywa) and Kwame Micky, along with media personalities Halifax Ansah-Addo and Frank Kwabena Owusu (Franky 5), and events specialist Mrs. Whitney Boakye Mensah. Additionally, Mike Tamakloe, Emmanuel Kusi Mensah, Nathan Pryce, Joshua Tigo, and Dennis K. Boafo have also been appointed, with Ms. Jemima Hagan serving as the Secretary to the Board.

The Executive Board expresses full confidence in Asamoah-Baidoo’s leadership abilities, foreseeing his effective guidance of the Awards Board to ensure the continued success and expansion of the GMA-USA. Furthermore, the official announcement of nominees for the 5th edition of GMA-USA is set for April 20, 2024, in New Jersey, signifying a significant milestone in acknowledging and celebrating excellence within the Ghanaian music scene.
