23-Year Old KNUST TA And One Other Student Die In A Fatal Accident

Students and Staff of Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology are in the state of mourning as a female teaching assistant of the university passes and one other student have passed away in a fatal accident.
This was announced on one of the social media platforms of the university.
According to report, on June 18, 2023, the two female Ghanaian students studying at Clemson University in the United States lost their lives in a tragic car accident.
The victims are; 31-year-old Abena Gyamfua Ofori, a graduate student pursuing English, and 23-year-old Alberta Oduraa Quartey, a fellow graduate student who completed KNUST with a first-class degree in Telecommunication Engineering and was a Teaching Assistant in 2021 at KNUST
The fatal incident occurred on Highway 11 near Elizabeth Drive, South Carolina, when two vehicles traveling in opposite directions collided head-on, leading to the unfortunate demise of Abena Ofori and Alberta Quartey.
Alberta graduated with a first class honors degree in Telecom Engineering from KNUST in 2021. She also worked as a TA from 2021 until her exit from Ghana.
