WAEC Issues Statement To All 2022 BECE Graduates Ahead Of The Release Of Their Results
The West Africa Exams Council responsible for the conduct of national and international exams in the country has served a notice to all 2022 BECE candidates ahead of the release of BECE results.
In a post sighted by Ghanaeducation.org, WAEC said some fraudsters who claim to have access to its database contact candidates with the promise of “upgrading” their results for a fee payable through mobile money transfers.
“The Management of the West African Examinations Council (WAEC) wishes to alert its publics to the activities of certain persons who introduce themselves as workers of WAEC and also claim to have access to its results database.
These fraudsters contact prospective candidates with the promise of “upgrading” their results for a fee payable through mobile money transfers. We urge the public and students to desist from that” the Council cautioned.
“Institutions and organisations are advised to confirm or verify results presented to them directly from the Council or access the confirmation/verification service online at https://www.waecgh.org,” the Examinations Council added.
All BECE candidates are advised that there is nothing like results upgrade.
